How does a laser procedure help you get rid of unwanted hair?

Let us understand the basics of a hair removal procedure. The hair will go through three separate stages during their life cycle at different phases. They are likely to be more vulnerable to laser pulses at one of those select stages. This is why different treatments are needed to ensure that the hair follicles are removed.

The hair follicles that lie below the skin surface absorb highly controlled and precisely focused laser light pulses. The selective absorption happens under expert supervision.  Re-growth of unwanted hair is thus prevented. The absorbed light destroys the hair follicle by heating them up.

Laser pulses are exerted on surface of the skin, fully covering the treatment area. At this point of time, hair follicles are targeted, so that they would either re-grow thinner or won’t grow at all. This depends on their current growth stage. As the process occurs, near-infrared laser light is emitted by the LightSheer Laser System. It’s absorbed by the pigment, which is located in your hair follicle. Then the laser is pulsed (or turned on), just for a fraction of a second or so!

Care is taken to ensure that no damage is done to surrounding tissues. The surface hairs are carefully removed leaving the hair follicles below. It’s also recommended that good protective eye wear is used. Some lasers might need a cold gel before the treatment whereas others are content merely with a cooling system during the procedure.
