Acne results from bacterial colonization as well as inflammatory state of the sebaceous follicles. There are bacteria trapped underneath dead surface of the skin aggravating acne. It stems from an abnormally large amount of bacteria, primarily propionibacterium acnes.

If not treated in time, the condition can only worsen. Of course, the damage done can be reversed since there are now some effective treatments options available to treat acne related skin complications.

Among the treatment options on offer, we have already taken a look at Omnilux Blue and Microdermabrasion. An Omnilux Blue treatment session usually lasts for 20 minutes. A patient can comfortably relax on a bed during the process pf light application. A slight warm sensation might be experienced during treatment, but there is nothing to worry about it. It is advisable to wear protective eyewear

Omnilux Light therapy is also effective for acne and resultant scars/pigmentation. It makes use of a safe light (sans radiation) to effectively cure acne, get rid of pre-cancerous skin lesions, and rectify sun-damaged skin. It is considered suitable for teens as well as adults.

Importantly, the treatment has little downtime. It is quick, noninvasive and painless. There are hardly any side effects. Omnilux Red is helpful for skin rejuvenation and is ideal for scars and pigmentation associated with acne, whereas blue light destroys the bacteria, which causes acne.

Acne is an upsetting skin condition and is rather widespread. It generally makes its ugly mark on the face, back, and chest. The condition, if it persists, can result in prolonged physical pain and emotional scarring.

Acne blows up when the sebaceous glands present in one’s skin start producing excess oil (sebum). It combines with cells, which line the gland walls and end up clogging the skin pores. Skin bacteria colonize these clogged pores. The body’s response further causes the inflammation or skin reddening, associated with acne.

Thankfully, a series of treatments are available to deal with the irritating skin condition. Among them. Omnilux Blue can well clear moderate inflammatory acne condition in only 8 treatment sessions. These take place for 4 weeks (twice a week). Experience shows that the Omnilux Blue is quite capable of making a significant difference in acne immediately after the treatment starts. If the prescribed treatment and follow-up plan is followed, a patient can expect up to 99% improvement.

Microdermabrasion is the process wherein dead surface of the skin gets abraded by extremely minute crystals. The process is virtually painless. Importantly, there are little or no side effects. Also, the down time is negligible. This procedure works perfect when incorporated with the Omnilux for achieving faster, better and more effective results. Microdermabrasion can be used on most skin types.
